The masked gang were armed with pick-axe handles and a mallet, and detectives believe the same high-performance Subaru Impreza was used as a getaway car. The gang struck in Warwick and Nuneaton. They first struck in daylight, just 100 yards from Warwick police station at Classic Watches, in Smith Street. They smashed their way into the shop shattering a glass door. They then smashed a display cabinet and took jewellery and expensive gold Cartier and Rolex watches. The four raiders, all wearing hoodies and balaclavas, fled to a waiting car which had at least one other man inside. The raid happened at Fake Hermes Handbags 3.50pm on Thursday. Witness Liz Askew, a secretary at Warwick Electrical in Priory Road said the raid was over in minutes. She said: "There was banging and then cars sounding their horns and I saw the men taking all the stuff Jaeger-LeCoultre Replica out of the shop. You can't believe the cheek of it, in broad daylight." Mary James, manager of The Wedding Company of Warwick, opposite the jewellers, said: "It is only 100 metres from the police station but they managed to do it without getting caught." Later, at 9pm, a car matching the description of the getaway vehicle was involved in a raid on the One Stop store in Weddington Road, Nuneaton. This time, three masked men carrying weapons including an axe, threatened staff and stole cigarettes and about pounds 200.
